Kadri Toomoja

Kadri Toomoja began her piano studies at the age of 4, her teacher was Reet Jürgens. From 2001 to 2013 she studied piano at Tallinn Music High school, her teachers were Anu and Toivo Nahkur. Since 2013, Toomoja’s studies continue in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater under professor Toivo Nahkur’s guidance. Since fall 2014, she is also taking organ lessons from professor Andres Uibo.
Kadri Toomoja has participated in many national and international music festivals and competitions. In 2015, the piano duo consisting of Kadri Toomoja and Ralf Kink won second prize in the piano duo’s category at the 18th international Pietro Argento competition. She has participated in master classes led by Bernd Zack, Lembit Orgse, Alexandr Bondurjanski, Juan Antonio and Jose Eugenio Vincente Tellez and Jānis Maļeckis. In 2014 and 2015 she participated in a master class conducted by professor Karl-Andreas Kolly as a bursar in Switzerland. In 2012, Toomoja was the soloist in the performance of Urmas Sisask’s piano concerto “Total Solar Eclipse” in collaboration with Tallin Chamber Orchestra and conductor Mikk Murdvee. In the spring of 2015 Kadri collaborated with the symphony orchestra of the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater and conductor Tõnu Kaljuste.

Kadri Toomoja is the pianist of Ellerhein Girls’ Choir since the fall of 2015.
